The Crown Estate and TH Real Estate’s plans for an extension to Princesshay Shopping Centre have been submitted to Exeter City Council for approval.

Outline consent for the scheme was formally granted in July 2016. This saw the basic concept for the scheme approved, including things like its size and scale, and the types of uses that it will include.  The Reserved Matters Planning Application looks at detailed design elements of the scheme, covering things like materials and architecture.

The plans have been submitted by The Crown Estate and TH Real Estate following extensive consultation with the local community earlier in the year. A two day public exhibition was held in July to showcase the latest proposals for the development.

John Grinnell, from The Crown Estate, said: “This is a technically complex scheme so we’re very pleased to have submitted the reserved matters planning application before the end of the year. We’re looking forward to a decision on the plans from the City Council in due course.”
