Night time closures will be in place on Bridge Road in Exeter over four evenings next week.

The road will be closed overnight from 8:30pm to 5:30am on Monday night (9 October). It will then be closed from 10pm to 5:30am on the evenings of Tuesday (10 October), Wednesday (11 October) and Thursday (12 October). All four lanes will be open during the daytime.

The closures are to enable the construction of the mast arm for the pedestrian crossing at Glasshouse Lane, the commissioning of the moving bridges over the canal, and for surfacing and lining work to be carried out. Some of the work is weather dependent and may have to be cancelled at short notice.

The diversion route during the closures will be signed via Topsham Road, Alphington Road, Marsh Barton and the A379. Details of the diversion route are available here.

Details of changes to Stagecoach bus services will be available at https://www.stagecoachbus.com/regional-service-updates/south-west/greate...

Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to access Bridge Road during the closures via local temporary diversions. They are advised to take care and follow the site signage and any instructions from site staff.

Further updates will be posted on the Bridge Road Widening Scheme website where you can sign up for alerts.
