More overnight closures on Bridge Road in Exeter

An overnight road closure will be needed on Bridge Road in Exeter on Wednesday (25 October) and provisionally Thursday (26 October).

The road will be closed overnight from 8:30pm and will re-open at 5:30am on Thursday morning. The closure is needed in order for road markings to be painted and for the removal of temporary traffic lights at Glasshouse Lane.

The work is weather dependant and, if the weather is not favourable or all of the work cannot be carried out in one evening, another overnight closure may be needed the following night (Thursday 26 October) during the same hours (8:30pm-5:30am).

The diversion route will be signed via Topsham Road, Alphington Road, Marsh Barton and the A379. Details of the diversion route are available here.

Details of changes to Stagecoach bus services will be available at https://www.stagecoachbus.com/regional-service-updates/south-west/greate...

Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to access Bridge Road during the closures via local temporary diversions. They are advised to take care and follow the site signage and any instructions from site staff.

Further updates will be posted on the Bridge Road Widening Scheme website, where you can sign up for alerts.
