'Board' has unveiled a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a new permanent location in Exeter.

The independent Board Game Café, run by siblings Luke and Beth Mildenhall-Ward, opened as a pop-up shop earlier this year in South Street.

After a successful four month run, the café is now looking to set down roots in the city at a new, larger location.

During its pop-up period, 'Board' worked exactly like a normal café but with a twist – there were shelves upon shelves of board games for customers to play.

From old favourites like Scrabble to more modern tabletop games like Settlers of Catan, there was something for everyone to enjoy. If you wanted to try something new, Luke and Beth were on hand to teach you any game that caught your eye.

If 'Board' hits its £8,000 goal by 9 August, Luke and Beth plan to open the café by October with a whole new design.

To achieve their goal, the 'Board' Kickstarter is offering up a variety of rewards, from memberships to their original two-tier tables.
