Police are appealing for anyone with information about a series of car fires in Exeter this morning (9 June 2016) to contact them.

Police were made aware just after 2am that two cars were on fire in Church Terrace. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service attended to extinguish the fires and no further damage was caused to other vehicles in the road.

The fire service was already dealing with another car on fire in a driveway of a property in Magdalen Road, and another car was reported on fire in Fore Street, Heavitree.

The fires are being treated as suspicious, but it is not known whether the seperate incidents are related.

The vehicles damaged this morning were a Citroen Berlingo estate, a Ford Fiesta, a Skoda Octavia and a Ford Focus.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has information which could assist the police with the investigation of the fires is asked to email Devon and Cornwall Police via 101@dc.police.uk or call 101 quoting log 0083 of 9 June 2016

Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or reporting online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
