Leadstoyou are pleased to announce their support for the family support charity Home-Start Exeter and East Devon.

Home-Start offer friendship and support for families going through difficult times through a team of local volunteers who visit those families in their own homes. With more families than ever requesting their assistance, the need to recruit more volunteers is a continual challenge.

Leadstoyou are involved in helping households make savings through home improvement and the more efficient use of energy and hence there is a great deal of synergy between the two organisations.

Leadstoyou will be using their digital marketing expertise to build a campaign on Facebook designed to attract local people to volunteer to join the Charity. They are looking for friendly, caring and non-judgemental people who have parenting experience, live within 15 miles of Exeter and are able to volunteer for at least 2 hours each week.

The Facebook campaign will also look to attract business partners, like Leadstoyou, to support Home-Start either financially or through the provision of much-needed support.

Managing Director of Leadstoyou, Justin Elliott said, “We were keen to support a local charity involved in the welfare of families in our home area and Home-Start Exeter and East Devon provides essential support to local families going through difficult times. They were keen to mount a campaign to attract more volunteers and we are particularly pleased to be able to assist by using our experience of digital marketing to help such a good cause.”

Home-Start Exeter and East Devon will be running their next round of preparation courses for volunteers each Monday from 25th September until 6th November (excluding half-term, 23rd  October) and so Leadstoyou are planning a Facebook campaign to run from early July in order to give prospective volunteers sufficient time to prepare for one of those courses.

Speaking from Home-Start Exeter and East Devon, Chair of the Trustees, Jan Campbell Young said, “We are absolutely delighted to have Leadstoyou on board.  Their digital marketing expertise will be essential to help us expand our team of volunteers as well as to assist our search for business partners who may like to support the charity either financially or through goods and services in kind. For only £1,000 per year, a family can be supported, potentially in a life changing way. I think both organisations are looking forward to building a long-lasting relationship.”

For the past 7 years Leadstoyou have been using their digital expertise to gather enquiries from homeowners looking for home improvements or to make savings on their energy expenditure by investing in up-to-date technology or renewable energy systems. The enquiries they generate through their website, findenergysavings.co.uk and through digital platforms such as Facebook, are then passed to verified contractors throughout the UK.

Anyone interested in joining Home-Start Exeter and East Devon as a volunteer, or becoming a business partner can contact the charity either through Facebook or direct on 01392 826299.
