The Exeter branch of RGB Building Supplies will be holding their first ever Health and Safety Week between Monday 15th and Friday 19th June highlighting some of the industry’s health risks and ways that they can be minimised.

The event coincides with the national campaign which aims to encourage companies to implement new initiatives throughout the year to counter any health and safety concerns.

Throughout the week, RGB will be displaying posters giving advice to customers about how they can reduce some hazards, as well as highlighting some of the solutions that it has to protect staff and customers from the health and safety risks in the construction industry

Keith Harris, Product and Marketing Manager at RGB Building Supplies, commented: “In our industry there are some health risks that are not overtly obvious, so our Health and Safety Week is all about highlighting them to both our staff and our customers.

"At RGB, the health of our workforce is of great importance and we already have a number of safety measures in place, such as providing free sunscreen to all outdoor working employees.

"Additionally, our manufacturing branch has wood dust extraction systems and offers health surveillance to its operators and endeavors to use quieter machinery where possible to help protect hearing, amongst many other precautions.”
