Exeter businesses facing a barrage of new rules and regulations, from auto-enrolment to any potential impact caused by tax and accounting changes, are invited to attend special "Breakfast Briefing" sessions.

Experts from Thomas Westcott, the South West's leading independent firm of chartered accountants, will be on hand to offer advice at the free Business Breakfast Briefing event.

Over the course of an hour attendees will receive crucial insights about a range of issues which will directly impact their business, including an update on new reporting standards, latest changes to tax rules and the latest on the Government's scheme to force companies to deliver pension provision to employees, auto-enrolment.

In addition, Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants will also delve into what action points business owners should be considering and planning for ahead of any sale of their business in order to maximise returns.

Mark Tibbert, partner and specialist tax adviser at Thomas Westcott, said: "Right now business confidence in the South West is at an all-time low as company owners and executives absorb the ramifications of Brexit and its potential impact on their operations.

"There are, however, a raft of compliance rules and regulations on the horizon which business owners must meet head-on in order to minimise any potential negative impacts to their livelihoods, the most pressing of which will be addressed at our event."

Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants' Business Breakfast Briefing takes place on Tuesday, September 6, in Exeter Southgate Hotel, Southernhay East, Exeter from 8am - 9.30am.
