Devon firm recognised for commitment to apprenticeships

Vector7 Ltd of Honiton was invited to meet the Prime Minister, David Cameron, and Business Secretary Sajid Javid at a Downing Street reception on 18 January 2016, celebrating outstanding businesses and their apprenticeship schemes.

Business Secretary Sajid Javid said: “We are putting employers at the heart of quality apprenticeships so that young people get the skills they need to succeed. Today we are celebrating everything that apprenticeships have to offer businesses and young people.”

Emma Moore, director of search engine optimisation at Vector7, joined other representatives from across the country at the prestigious Downing Street reception to celebrate apprenticeship trailblazers; a group of employers that are setting new standards for apprenticeship schemes across the UK.

Emma comments: “It was such an honour to be asked and for the company to be recognised for its hard work and achievements alongside giants such as Deloitte and the Adecco Group”.

Winners of the EDF Energy Award for Newcomer SME of the Year 2015 at the National Apprenticeship Awards in October, Vector7 has also been put forward for the National Finals at Grosvenor House, London, and will travel to London on Tuesday 26 January, to find out if the firm will be announced as a national winner.

Julia Gardner and John Vincent, Directors of Vector7, adds: “We set up the apprenticeship scheme with the government bodies over three years ago in order to bring in local, intelligent, design talent into Vector7 with the view to personalise the apprenticeships with a unique, in-house, highly sophisticated level of training in web marketing.  Emma joined the Vector7 team as an apprentice over eight years ago and represents the young, up-and-coming talent within the company, which is why we chose her as the best person to represent us at this prestigious ceremony.”

Vector7’s apprenticeship scheme celebrates providing bespoke, in-house training programmes that are setting the standard for an industry and a future which, for bright, enthusiastic individuals provides a long-term, rewarding career across one of the most interesting periods in the development of marketing and advertising. The firm is always looking to recruit more local, talented and creative individuals to join its ever growing team of web marketing specialists.
