A collaborative effort between four Exeter based businesses is aiming to get a team of at least 12 walkers to the top of the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within a 24 hour period.

The group comprises participants from chartered accountants Francis Clark who are providing refreshments for the teams; property consultants Edward Symmons who are in charge of maps and other specialist kit; Ashfords Solicitors who have arranged a fund-raising website page and Barclays Bank who have arranged the transport.

The teams include Sean Grinsted, Glenn Nicol and Mike Pearce (Francis Clark); Gary Hooper, Philip Gibson, Jason Hall and Matthew Hartley (Edward Symmons); Steve Hocking, Stephen Beard and Nigel Brown (Barclays) and Chris Gregson, Carol Gaskell and Phil Strange (Ashfords). Graham Austin and Rob Allum from Barclays will be driving the teams during the challenge.

Francis Clark partner Glenn Nicol commented: “It’s a daunting prospect but we are all determined to meet the challenge, have some fun on the way and raise money for four local charities.”

The teams will be tackling the National Three Peaks Challenge on the weekend of 27-28 June 2014 and will be raising money for Children's Hospice South West, the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, Calvert Trust Exmoor and Help for Heroes.
