IMP Planner named Product of the Year at MAT Excellence Awards 2026

IMP Planner, the flagship budgeting, forecasting and reporting platform for multi-academy trusts (MATs) from Exeter-based IMP Software, has won the Product of the Year award at the prestigious national MAT Excellence Awards 2026.

The awards, which give school trusts and organisations supporting the MAT sector the opportunity to celebrate their achievements and recognise their impact on pupils, staff and the community, were held in London earlier this month.

Devon thanks super recyclers at special ceremony

Devon's super recyclers have been recognised in a special ceremony (held on Thursday 31 Jan) to thank them for their hard work in helping to protect Devon's environment.

This was the first year of the Recycle Devon Thank You awards which mark the 10 year anniversary of the Don't Let Devon go to waste campaign.

Devon enjoys a recycling rate of 55% (2011/12) making it one of the highest recycling counties in the country. To celebrate and thank the residents of Devon, Recycle Devon hosted the special event.

Bring Up the Bodies named 2012 Costa Book of the Year

Bring Up the Bodies by Budleigh Salterton-based novelist Hilary Mantel has won the title of 2012 Costa Book of the Year. The sequel to Mantel's award-winning novel Wolf Hall and the second book of a trilogy, Bring Up the Bodies continues the life of Thomas Cromwell and explores one of the most mystifying and frightening episodes in English history, the destruction of Anne Boleyn.

Veitch Penny Solicitors are celebrating after being awarded membership to the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) - the mark of excellence for the home buying process.

The firm underwent rigorous assessment by the law Society in order to secure the CQS status, which was introduced to promote high standards in the home buying process.
