Devon County Council is sponsoring the Enterprising Young Devon Award at today's Big Bang Fair South West at the University of Exeter.

The prestigious prize is designed to recognise and reward young Devon-based talent in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

All the projects eligible for the Enterprising Young Devon Award from 11-18 year olds across the area are on display at the event and will be judged by a panel of industry experts who will be on the lookout for projects that show innovation and marketability.

The 2014 UK Mobile & App Design Awards were recently held at BOXPARK Shoreditch on Wednesday 18 June, as part of London Technology Week 2014.

The Devon & Cornwall Police Partnership Community Volunteer Awards 2014 will reward and recognise those who give their time to support local neighbourhoods to build strong and cohesive communities.

Previously DaCCWA held an awards ceremony each autumn to acknowledge and celebrate the activities of watch schemes, supportive staff and partner agencies. Crimestoppers was also integral to these events and sponsored a young citizen award for several years.

The Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust is in line for a prestigious national award for its work to promote the highest standards of patient safety and care.
