Can comedy and Christianity really go together?

For a Sunday night out, you probably wouldn’t put going to church as a place where you can enjoy a good laugh.

But Rediscover Church in Northernhay Street, Exeter, is hosting an event this month which hopes to change all that – and even better, tickets are completely free!

They’re inviting people in Exeter to come along for a comedy show on Sunday 18th February from Scotsman Mark Ritchie who is bringing his critically acclaimed tour ‘God Only Knows’ to Devon.

Mark performs in comedy clubs, theatres and churches across the UK, and is bringing this tour from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where he played to packed out audience and rave reviews.

His unique and popular style of comedy fuses his own funny and bizarre experiences with a personal reflection on his own journey to discovering faith and finding a relationship with God.

Mark’s attention grabbing, life-filled show will not only leave you in stitches, but at the same time unpack the Christian message in a way that is understandable - changing people’s perceptions what having a faith is really like.

The event is taking place at Rediscover Church in Northernhay Street, Exeter on 18th February. The event begins at 6.30pm.
