He is the author of the top 10 Sunday Times bestseller Round Ireland with a Fridge and Playing the Moldovans at Tennis, both of which have been released as films and serialised on BBC radio.

You'll know him from TV comedy programmes such as: Have I Got News For You, They Think It's All Over, Paul Merton, A Bit of Fry and Laurie and Red Dwarf. He also hosted the BBC1 programme, The Best Show in the World Ever ... Probably.

He's a regular guest on radio programmes including The News Quiz, Would I Lie to You, Just a Minute, and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, and recently he presented his own series on Radio 4, Tony Hawks' Lost Weekends. He has twice been a contestant on Celebrity Mastermind.

I remember him with Morris and the Minors, charting with the song Stutter Rap.

He comes to Tiverton with the request that we provide a projector and screen. That's where the mystery starts...

"If you enjoy his books and Radio 4 appearances, you can only enjoy his show even more." British Comedy Guide.
