Mary Harold, a silk screen printer who lives near Okehampton, is exhibiting her work at A la Ronde from Thursday 22 May to Wednesday 4 June 2014.

Often printing onto reclaimed materials such as blankets, tablecloths and sheets, she says of her work: “My inspiration mostly comes from nature, usually my garden or the wild countryside around where I live.  Not just trees and plants but the wildlife from birds to bugs.  I like collecting things such as old plates and cutlery - things that are battered and worn that have a history to them. I also like decorative items and pattern; texture and colour are other elements found in my work.”

Admission to the exhibition in the stable and tea-room is free during normal opening times.
