Tiverton Museum is kicking the Bank Holiday weekend off to a great start with a special family day.

On Saturday 30th April there will be plenty of fun activities for all the family to enjoy.Activities include dressing up as a Victorian and taking part in a Victorian style school lesson, complete with strict school ma’am and writing on slates.

There will be a chance to get creative with crafts such as making a peg doll or a paper game, and games and toys will be available, including organized sessions playing ‘Hunt the thimble’ and ‘Elements’.If the weather allows, our washerwoman will be getting through the laundry the old fashioned way out in the yard, using a posser and tub and the mangle.

There will also be opportunities to handle some genuine Victorian artefacts to find out more about home life over 100 years ago. Most activities will be free with admission, but there will be a small charge for some activities (make a peg doll £1).

11am - 12.30pm or 2pm - 3.30pm
