Why not come along and help us mark our 21st anniversary at our Open Day at our showroom on Saturday 10th May 2014. We will also be hosting the final of our Bake-a-Cake Competition during the day.

The finalists have been selected and the judges are ready to eat cake!

Our esteemed judges are Masterchef Peter Gorton of Gorton’s in Tavistock and Harriet Pecover, Pastry Chef at the Jack in the Green, Rockbeare and twice finalist in the South West Chef of the Year competition. They will be given the enviable task of sampling each of the cakes brought to our showroom by our selected finalists whose ages range from 7 to ??!

Part of our anniversary Open Day, we will also be joined by Debbie Vanstone from Mad Cakes, Alphington, Exeter, who will demonstrate her outstanding cake decorating skills whilst our finalists await the results!

In addition to this, Peter Gorton will sign copies of his superb new book, “An invitation to cook.”

Competitors were asked to enter the recipe for their favourite cake, along with details about why it is their favourite recipe. Entries were shortlisted and selected finalists invited to bring their cakes to the showroom for judging for the chance to win a much sought-after Kitchen Aid mixer!
