You’re here. Now what do you do? An opportunity to explore how to make life all it can be, through mindfulness, and with an understanding of how the choices we make radically affect our experience.

There will be five guided meditations. Four seated, when you will be encouraged to close your eyes or lower your gaze. You will be asked to focus on something, such as your breathing, or listen out for sounds. While doing this, there will be oral direction on what to look out for. In this way, you will begin to notice for yourself how your mind works. There will also be one slow walking meditation (eyes open!) through the galleries of RAMM.

The discussion and activities are led by Dr Nathan Tamblyn, from the University of Exeter. Aged 17+. No prior experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothes. Flat shoes are preferable. Please turn off mobile devices.

Part of the Economic and Social Research Council’s Festival of Social Science 2015.

Tickets are available online or from the Royal Albert Memorial Museum reception in person or by phone using a credit or debit card on 01392 265858 during opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
