The Crediton Parish Church Flower Festival is one of the main fundraising events for the upkeep of Holy Cross and many people from our parishes work to make it a very special and memorable week.

This year’s festival has the intriguing title ‘What’s the Point…’ and runs from 10.30am on Saturday 3rd June until 5 pm on Thursday 8th June.

Work towards this years’ Flower Festival began as soon as last years’ Festival ended.

The title of last years’ Festival was ‘Outside the Box’, and a big talking point was a car in the church. This 1927 Austin was subsequently decorated with flowers and the unusual sight of the car entering the church can be viewed via a video on Crediton Flower Festival Facebook page.

Other photos are also on the Facebook page, with a few photos copied here to whet your appetite.

If you wish to see the fruits of a years’ planning and the skills of local flower arrangers working to the brief ‘What’s the Point…’ then why not make a date for your diary to come to the Crediton Parish Church Flower Festival.

The Church is on the A377 main Exeter to Barstaple road with a bus stop opposite, and 10min walk from Crediton train station.

Entrance and parking is FREE and there is Disabled access. Opening times are 10.30am to 7pm on Sat, Mon, Tues & Wed, 11am to 6pm Sun and 10.30am to 5pm Thursday. Refreshments, snacks and meals are available in the nearby Boniface Centre.

FREE tours of the Church Tower are available at 2pm each day of the Festival except Sunday.

A Festival Concert will be given on the evening of Saturday 3rd June at 7pm by members of the Holy Cross Choir.

On Sunday 4th June there will be a Festival Songs of Praise at 6pm.
