Parents from West Exe Children’s Centre are organising a fundraising evening with a difference in aid of Carousel Toy Library, which provides a wide range of good quality toys for children to take home and play with for a week or two.

The toy library, part of the local Merry Go Round charity, faces closure after losing its main funding but families are determined to keep Carousel up and running as it provides a fantastic service for children across the west side of the city.

The event is called ‘Naked Ladies’ and is just for ladies; they can turn up in one outfit and then choose and take home a completely different one, all included in the £5 ticket price! There is also a fantastic Silent Auction with prizes donated by local businesses.

These include a silver limousine and driver for the night, a Fairtrade food hamper, family activity tickets for Haven Banks, massages plus lots more.

‘Naked Ladies’ is in the function room of the Kings pub, Cowick Street, on Friday 1st February starting at 7.30pm. Bar and refreshments will be available. Tickets available from West Exe Children’s Centre, Exeter Scrapstore and the Kings pub.

For more information, or if you would like to support the toy libraries, please contact fiona@mgrtoylibrary.org.
