Zeshan Qureshi

200 Words: Professional Global Health
Zeshan Qureshi is a Paediatrician based at Great Ormond Street and the Institute of Child Health. He graduated with Distinction from the University of Southampton, and has published and presented research work extensively and internationally in the fields of pharmacology, global health and medical education.

In 2015, he published an article in the BMJ entitled “Stillbirth should be given greater priority on the global health agenda”, highlighting the current status of stillbirth, and what could be done to prevent it. He was part of the team that put together the Lancet stillbirth series in 2016, and continues to widely advocate for greater attention to stillbirth prevention.
“The Unofficial Guide to Medicine” is a textbook series led by Zeshan. To date he has edited and published six textbooks, with over 28,000 book sales, and multiple awards including from the British Medical Association and British Institute of Radiology. In 2015, Zeshan won the “New Leader Award” from the Association for the Study of Medical Education.
