SW businesses raise £900 for FORCE Cancer Charity at Exeter Padel Tournament

Business from across the South West came together at City Padel Exeter to raise £900 for FORCE Cancer Chairty as part of a charity padel tournament hosted by Konker .

The event saw 12 local businesses compete in a friendly tournament, combining sport, networking and fundraising in support of Devon based cancer charity. The day aimed to create a relaxed and social alternative to traditional business events, while raising money for a cause with strong local impact.

The Fresha kitchens are being run with military precision with the arrival of new catering manager Neil Lyons.

Neil joins the Fresha team after 23 years in military catering, which saw Warrant Officer Class 1 Lyons cooking for members of the Royal Family including the Queen, the Queen Mother, Prince Charles and Princess Diana before moving on to become a Catering and Management Instructor at the Army School of Catering.

Exeter-based security company Marsh Barton Security Services (MBSS) has expandded its management team as the firm continues to grow and expand its range of services and clientele.

Sun route flights return for Easter

Flybe, the Exeter-based airline, has re-introduced a series of ‘sun route’ flights to Alicante, Malaga and Faro to coincide with the first Bank Holiday of 2015.

The routes to Spain and Portugal from Exeter have started ahead of the Easter break and operate until late September with a frequency of up to four per week from May when Palma Majorca is also introduced into the Flybe schedule.

Call for Exeter firms to go international

A business that connects trainees from around the world with companies in Devon is expanding its work in Exeter.

The Training Partnership puts together companies with high-calibre trainees looking to improve their business skills, providing short term work placements that benefit both. Placements are supernumerary and funded through EU schemes such as Erasmus+ and PONS.
