Baxter confirms double injury blow

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter says its likely England star Henry Slade will be sidelined for roughly four months after sustaining a broken leg and ankle damage in his side’s 41-27 win over Wasps on Saturday.

Centre Slade was stretchered off with just 15 minutes remaining at the Ricoh Arena following a tackle from home winger Sailosi Tagicakibau as he looked to clear out the Exeter playmaker.

School teams taking part in Exeter’s Young Enterprise are heading to Princesshay on Saturday 12th December from 10am – 4 pm to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and Christmas wares at the Young Enterprise Trade Show.

South West jobs optimism rebounding

The first quarter of 2016 has seen a boost of confidence within the jobs market in the South West with hiring intentions of +9% according to Manpower, the world’s workforce experts. This is a jump of seven percentage points from the last quarter.

As part of its Well Built Community Fund, RGB Building Supplies is calling out to groups that support those with disabilities to explain how £1,000 worth of building materials could help to complete a project.

Greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced aggressively and immediately because there are significant constraints to large-scale deployment of negative emissions technologies in the future, new research has shown.

City to play Liverpool in FA Cup third round

Exeter City have been drawn at home against Liverpool in the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Carer found guilty of fraud

The directors of a long established family-run home care agency today spoke of their shock and anger after a former member of staff was found guilty of fraud.

Melanie Harris, from Fremington, was convicted of the crime when she appeared before Exeter Crown Court.

Harris, aged 44, spent thousands of pounds belonging to a vulnerable client to support her own lifestyle.
