Police and Crime Commissioner learns more about police drones

Police and Crime Commissioner Tony Hogg this week met with police officers from Devon and Cornwall Police and the National Police Air Service (NPAS) to learn about the benefits of drones for policing.

Devon and Cornwall Police has been trialling the use of drones to aid police work since early November 2015.

The force currently has two drones in operation, which have been used at a number of major incidents across the two counties.

They are used to take aerial photographs, record videos and map areas of interest to assist police investigations.

Police are concerned for the welfare of a 20-year-old woman who has gone missing in Devon and may be in Bristol.

Kaya Kelly was reported missing at 9.15pm on Thursday 7 January from Torbay District Hospital in Torquay.

She was last seen at Bristol Temple Meads train station at 11.30am on Monday 11 January.

A woman, believed to be Kaya, was seen later that day in the Corn Street and Wine Street area of Bristol, heading towards Union Street and the central Broadmead area.

Pioneering work by a University of Exeter researcher will see the principles behind video games used to expand what visitors to the city’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (RAMM) can learn and see.

Work has started on a three year project to build upon the features which make video games so engaging, such as challenges and working towards goals, to help enhance the popular exhibits at the RAMM.

Jürgen Klopp confirmed Liverpool will once field a second string side for tonight's FA Cup tie with Exeter City at Anfield.

6,000 Exeter fans head to Anfield

More than 6,000 Exeter City fans will be making the 250 mile journey to Liverpool today as the sides battle for an Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round place at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp has said that he will field a similar side to that which faced the Grecians at St James Park eleven days ago. This will be the first time City have visited Anfield since 1981.
