Latest designs for Exeter bus station go on display

Detailed designs of Exeter's new bus station will go on display to the public next week.

People will be able to see the latest designs at an exhibition at Exeter Guildhall on Tuesday 14 June, from 8am until 8pm.

Around 650 attended the last exhibition to have their say on plans for a brand new bus station.

"We've sifted through all the feedback and listened to everyone's comments," said Cllr Phil Bialyk, Lead Councillor for Sport and Health & Wellbeing.

Police have released CCTV images following an assault in Exeter which left a man with a serious head injury.

Around 2am on Sunday 5th June an assault took place on Summerland Street, near the junction of Sidwell Street.

An 18 year-old-man from Kent suffered a serious head injury and remains in hospital undergoing treatment.

The police are keen to speak to the three men pictured in connection with the assault.

The first man is described as a white man, of thin build, around 6 foot in height and aged in his 20’s. He has dark coloured hair, and a short beard....

Man seriously hurt in East Devon collision

Just before 8am on Monday 6th June 2016 a four vehicle collision occurred on an unclassified road between Dunkeswell and Hemyock in East Devon.

A motorcyclist, riding an Aprilla bike, collided with a Volkswagon Golf. Debris from this collision then damaged two other vehicles.

The motorcyclist, a man in his forties from Somerset, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with serious and life changing injuries to his arm and leg.

No one else was injured in the collision.

The government has isssued a detailed statement regarding BHS.

Administrators are in the process of winding the business down and yesterday Anna Soubry, Minister of State for Small Business, Industry and Enterprise updated the House of Commons.

And she stresssed that any wrongdoing would be taken very seriously.

Hendy Group buys south east-based Lifestyle Group

Hendy Group, which has a major presence in Exeter has been on the expansion trail with the acquisition of Lifestyle Dealer Group in a deal which puts the company in the top 20 of automotive retailers in the UK.
