Training shows care providers what it’s like to live with dementia

Care providers have been invited to learn more about what it’s like to live with dementia .

Devon County Council has organised a free virtual dementia experience delivered by Training2Care, and funded by the Health and Social Care Skills Accelerator Programme, and the European Social Fund.

The Virtual Dementia Tour stimulates the senses so that attendees can understand what people, who live with dementia, feel and experience in their daily lives.

South West-based accountancy firm Milsted Langdon has thanked Tim Close for his work as Chairman, as the firm appoints his successor.

Experienced Partner Simon Rowe is taking over from Tim, who has held his position within the practice since 2019 – having originally joined Milsted Langdon in 1989 soon after its founding.

Devon County Show is going back to its roots in 2023, with initiatives planned to encourage greater attendance from the farming community.

First up is a new, concentrated farming area. This will be devoted to agricultural trade stands, where farmers can find everything, they need to manage their farms in one dedicated area. The section will also have its own brand new bar, the Ivington Tavern, where farmers can socialise and ‘chew the cud’ with their peers over a pint.
