Five Volvo motor retailers in the South West are being renamed, following the acquisition of Helston Garages Group Limited by Vertu Motors plc in December 2022.

The showrooms in Barnstaple, Exeter, Taunton, Yeovil and Truro have been brought under the Vertu Motors retail brand.

Browne Jacobson announces twelve partner and legal director promotions for 2023

UK & Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson has grown its partnership to 173 after announcing the promotion of nine lawyers to partner. The firm has also confirmed the promotion of three senior associates to legal director, bringing the total number of legal directors at the firm to 26.

The promotions span the firm’s Birmingham, Exeter, London, and Nottingham offices and further build on last year’s eight partner and legal director promotions. The promotions will take effect from 1 May 2023.
