Designs published for public consultation on new Water Sports Centre for Exmouth

Exeter-based sustainable property developer, Grenadier, has published its designs for a new water sports facility for Exmouth, and is encouraging members of the community to participate in public consultation on the plans.

The proposed not-for-profit scheme, which would provide training and changing facilities alongside an outdoor events space and eateries, is intended to enhance Exmouth’s waterfront, water sports heritage and leisure amenities. A children’s hospice in the South West is to be given a charity Christmas boost after an automotive retailer and a shopping centre joined forces. Snows Toyota Exeter is raffling a new Toyota C-HR, worth nearly £24,000, with £5,000 already raised in ticket sales before the Christmas prize draw on December 23. People living in Exeter are being urged to complete their electoral registration forms so that they can vote in next year’s City Council elections.

Over 52,000 household enquiry forms went out to all homes in the city at the start of August, followed by reminders in early September. However, there are still 12,000 households which have not completed a return.

This is the final step in compiling and preparing the 2018 Register of Electors for Exeter. People who fail to complete and return the form may not be included on the Register and will lose their right to vote....

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is delighted to be one of the chosen charities for the Exeter City Community Trust Santa Run in Exeter on Sunday 3rd December, and is looking for volunteers to help marshal the event.

Volunteers would be needed from 8.00am – 10.30am on the day of the run which starts and finishes in Princesshay, so you can then continue the festive spirit with a bit of Christmas shopping at the Christmas market afterwards!

YMCA Exeter Job Club staff and their trained volunteers are teaming together with professionals from agencies and employers, on Wednesday 11th October at Belmont Chapel, for their Big Job Club – a day which helps to connect job seekers with employers and help with everything from CV writing to job applications.
