County Council working round the clock to keep Devon moving

Snow ploughs and snow blowers have been busy clearing snow in parts of North Devon today (Wednesday 28 February) as Devon County Council works round the clock to keep the county moving.

Exmoor and Ilfracombe were hardest hit overnight - the A361, A399, A39, A3123, B3343 were all affected by snow but are all passable with care.

Additional gritting and snow clearance was carried out on these routes by the County Council.

Exeter City staff join PCUK charity cycle from London to Amsterdam

A team of cyclists from business across Exeter will be taking part in a charity bike ride from London to Amsterdam, including three members of staff from Exeter City FC.

The team, which includes our hospitality and events manager Jake Wood, finance assistant Lynn Travis and media manager Simon Larkins, are taking on the 145-mile trip to the Dutch capital to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Bristol Street Motors is reuniting two former colleagues to drive business at its Exeter Hyundai dealership.

PFK Francis Clark raises over £8,000 for Hospiscare

The Exeter office of PKF Francis Clark has raised £8797.92 for local adult hospice charity Hospiscare after it was named its charity of the year for 2017.

Seven members of staff at the Exeter accountants undertook the Three Peaks Challenge, one of the most challenging mountaineering events in the UK. They raised over £2,000 scaling Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike in 24 hours. The Exeter office also organised dress down days, bake sales and Christmas and Easter competitions.
