Local small businesses across the South West are gearing up to take their share of a much-needed Christmas boost, as new data predicts the UK could spend £5.3 billion with small firms over the festive period, delivering critical end-of-year gains for this vital segment of the economy.

RGB Building Supplies is delighted to announce it raised a fantastic £10,634 for its chosen charity Children’s Hospice South West over the past 12 months.

Due to the overwhelming support RGB received for its fundraising efforts, which included charity breakfast mornings, golf days, Easter competitions, and branch events, as well as staff members taking on various individual challenges, it will be continuing its support of CHSW and will again be undertaking numerous activities throughout 2018.

Exeter’s Really Big Quiz raises record amount for charity

Exeter’s 15th annual Really Big Quiz, organised by chartered accountancy firm Simpkins Edwards and held at the Corn Exchange, has raised an all-time record amount for the Lord Mayor of Exeter’s charity of the year. Exeter Racecourse concluded its season against the backdrop of blue skies and a plethora of colour as ladies and gentlemen from across the region converged to celebrate Heavitree-sponsored Ladies Night.

Cordero signs new Chiefs deal

Santiago Cordero says he is “excited” about what lies ahead for him at Sandy Park after he today agreed terms on a new one-year deal with the Exeter Chiefs.
