Applications for grants from The Prince’s Countryside Fund close on February 21st 2019.

The Fund gives out grants twice a year, and projects in rural areas across the UK can apply for funding of up to £50,000 in the spring round of funding.

Set up in 2010 by HRH The Prince of Wales, the charity aims to improve the prospects of viability for rural communities and farm businesses. Every year the Fund gives out over £1 million in funding, and can support projects for up to three years.

Following last week’s snowfall in parts of the county, the Travel Devon team is reminding workplaces in Exeter, Newton Abbot and Barnstaple that a limited number of FREE "Winter Safety Boxes" are still available.

Businesses in these communities have until Thursday 28 February to apply for a Winter Safety Box, which is worth £100 and contains essential equipment to help staff who walk and cycle during the winter months.
