Most companies in the South West are set to increase their investment in technology following the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A survey carried out by Exeter-based IT support and tech strategy experts Timewade has revealed that nearly two thirds (63%) of companies have increased investment in the short term to deal with challenges including remote working, cyber security and protecting data, and 50% will continue to increase investment beyond the next 12 months.

Exeter-based security business, Tamar Security, has been awarded the fire and security system maintenance contracts for both East Devon District Council (EDDC) and Libraries Unlimited.

Covering EDDC's corporate buildings - 35-plus fire alarms, intruder alarms, hearing loops and CCTV, including the CCTV system within Sidmouth town centre, the three-year maintenance contract was granted to Tamar Security following a competitive tender process.
