Sovereign Housing Association is making £150k in grants available to residents across its geography as part of its Thriving Communities strategy .

With homes in Berkshire, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Wiltshire, and the West of England the impact will be felt across south west England.

New Devon businesses which have sprung up during lockdown are being given expert help to take them to the next level.

The Business and Intellectual Property Centre in Exeter (BIPC) is staging a free 13 week ‘Bedroom to Business’ webinar course aimed at start-up entrepreneurs which are ready to expand (from 8th September).

Exeter based Old Mill launches Stamp Duty Land Tax team

Exeter financial experts Old Mill has created a specialist in-house team covering the complexities surrounding Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT).

Previously, this function was outsourced to a third-party, but Old Mill's Tax Team will now handle all queries.

Wealth manager Brewin Dolphin’s South West offices (Exeter, Plymouth and Truro) have been busy organising and taking part in various fundraising challenges for their chosen charity, Exeter-based Farms for City Children , and have raised £10,000 since January 2020.

Their latest endeavour was the Brewin Dolphin 7-Day Challenge, which saw members from the respective offices walk, run or cycle 655 miles collectively over seven days, raising over £1,000 for Farms for City Children.
