Why Sustainable Business Growth Starts With Better Strategic Choices

Sustainable business growth rarely happens by accident. While quick wins, sudden demand, or short-term campaigns can give a company a temporary boost, lasting success depends on the quality of the choices made behind the scenes. Every decision, from where to invest resources to which markets to enter, shapes how strong, adaptable, and profitable a business becomes over time.

Better strategic choices help businesses grow with purpose rather than simply chasing every opportunity that appears.

Exeter’s hopes of dining out with Europe’s elite in the latter stages of this season’s Champions Cup were sadly burnt to pieces in a crucial ten minute spell here at Scotstoun.

With little to choose between the Chiefs and hosts Glasgow Warriors at the break, it was the Scotsmen who prospered in the second period, claiming a first European win of the season, and with it extinguishing Exeter’s hopes of a last eight place.

A controversial yellow card against Chiefs scrum-half Nic White not only saw him banished from the action midway through the half, but the penalty try and...

Chiefs side to face Glasgow Warriors

The maths are simple, win or bust!

Exeter Chiefs know nothing less than victory will be enough for them as they look to qualify for the last eight of this season’s European Champions Cup.

Tomorrow, the reigning English champions head North of the Border for their final Pool 3 assignment of the season against Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun (1pm).

Having propelled themselves back into contention with last weekend’s six-try, 41-10 victory over Montpellier at Sandy Park, Rob Baxter’s side know they will have to reproduce a similar performance, if not better, to over the...

Chiefs duo agree new deals

Rob Baxter’s forward thinking at Sandy Park has continued with news that both Mitch Lees and Ian Whitten have committed their futures to the Exeter Chiefs.

Just days after long-serving fly-half Gareth Steenson put pen to paper on a new three-year contract, two of his club-mates have followed suit by agreeing similar terms that will keep them at the club until 2021.

Director of Rugby Baxter makes no secret that his first priority is often retention of players ahead of recruitment and he says keeping hold of two of his more senior stars is paramount moving forward.

Proposals to extend the length of time Exeter Bus Station can remain open during work to build its replacement are due to be discussed by the council’s Leisure Complex and Bus Station Programme Board. Following the decision of developer the Crown Estate to withdraw its plans to create a retail and leisure development at the site, it is now possible to keep the bus station fully open until May 2018. And a number of bus services may be able to continue operating from the current location throughout the time it takes to build a new station and leisure centre. If councillors approve the...
