The Devon-wide health and wellbeing charity, Westbank Community Health and Care, is delighted to welcome lawyer Henry Cross as its newest Trustee. Henry is a Senior Associate at Michelmores, specialising in employment law.

A father-of-two from Exeter, Henry already had a broad awareness of the charity when he met Westbank’s Head of Carers Services, Andy Hood, at a networking event a few years ago. One of East Devon District Council’s most popular nature reserves, Seaton Wetlands, has earned well deserved recognition as one of Devon’s top tourist attractions, by winning a Bronze award at the prestigious Devon Tourism Awards, held at Highbullen Hotel Golf & Country Club in North Devon.

Seaton Wetlands picked up its Bronze award in the Small Attraction of the Year category, alongside fellow Bronze winner Torre Abbey Museum, while Quince Honey Farm won Silver and Stuart Line Cruises were awarded Gold.

Measures to combat festive shoplifting in Exeter have been revealed.

Project to transform Exmouth’s seafront begins in earnest

Visitors to Exmouth seafront during the festive period will see changes to the Queen’s Drive area as work has begun on East Devon District Council’s transformational redevelopment project.

Contractors are now on site to deliver the first phase of the project; the rerouting of Queen’s Drive behind the Queen’s Drive car park and the building of a new car park on the site of the former golf course.

South coast-based Hendy Group – which has its Hendy Car Store in Exeter as well as its Hendy Honda and Hendy Iveco dealerships - has been named Used Car Dealership of the Year in a key national award.

Its outstanding used car operations were recognised in the Car Dealer Used Car Awards 2018 which were presented in London this week by TV’s Mr Wheeler Dealer Mike Brewer.
