The Devon-wide health and wellbeing charity, Westbank Community Health and Care, is delighted to welcome lawyer Henry Cross as its newest Trustee. Henry is a Senior Associate at Michelmores, specialising in employment law.

A father-of-two from Exeter, Henry already had a broad awareness of the charity when he met Westbank’s Head of Carers Services, Andy Hood, at a networking event a few years ago. Ciara Eastell, Chief Executive of Libraries Unlimited, has received an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from The University of Sheffield.

Ciara, who heads up the Devon-based charity that is responsible for running Devon and Torbay Libraries, studied librarianship at the University’s Information School in 1994. Since graduating, she has worked as a librarian in Gateshead, Somerset and Cambridgeshire before joining Devon’s library service in 2008.

Access to two city centre car parks is changing

Access to two city centre car parks is changing later this month to facilitate highways works necessary for the redevelopment of Exeter Bus Station.

From Thursday 24 January, vehicles will no longer be able to access the main Princesshay car park and the Princesshay 3 Broadwalk House car park from Paris Street.

Instead, access will be from Southernhay, via Magdalen Street and Southernhay West, or Western Way and Barnfield Road.

Vehicles will continue to be able to exit via Paris Street.

Access to Princesshay 2 Dix’s Field car park is unaffected.
