Exeter Airport’s corporate jet centre is celebrating scooping a major aviation industry award for outstanding customer service and operational excellence.

XLR Executive Jet Centres, which operates four exclusive facilities across the UK, was named as the Air Charter Association’s (ACA) Handling Agent/ Fixed Base Operations (FBO) of the Year 2024.

A plan to develop the UK’s first wetsuit recycling facility is among eight new projects funded by Future Fibres Network Plus .

Future Fibres Network Plus – which aims to bring environmental science into the heart of the UK fashion, clothing and textile sectors – is a network led by the University of Exeter, collaborating with the universities of Leeds, Huddersfield and Plymouth, University of the Arts London, and the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT).

Well-respected wealth management company Prydis has moved from Exeter City Centre to the beautiful grounds of Winslade Park at Clyst St Mary.

Optix Solutions has sent off a bundle of tech to Exeter charity GiftTech, ready to be rehomed to individuals caught up in the ‘digital divide’.

National figures from the Digital Youth Index Report 2023 show that 14 percent of young people in the UK have no access to a learning device such as a laptop or desktop computer, whilst for young people who are NEET (not in education, employment or training) the figure is 20 percent.

Optix previously donated desktops to Exeter charity GiftTech in 2022, and this year it was the turn of a selection of laptops and monitors.

Exeter businesses vote YES as BID secures another five-year term

Exeter city centre businesses have given a strong endorsement for InExeter, the Business Improvement District (BID), voting overwhelmingly in favour of renewing it for a third five-year term. Results released today show 90% of participating businesses supported the BID's renewal , allowing for continued investment in city centre improvements and initiatives from April 2025 to March 2030.
