Devon health and wellbeing charity Westbank Community Health and Care is going from strength to strength. A new Finance Director has recently joined the Leadership Team.

Stephen Thomas, 32, grew up in North Devon and takes up his seat on the Board of Westbank less than a year after his initial appointment as Head of Finance and Business Planning. His swift promotion is in recognition of his tremendous achievements and the improvements he has made in the management of Westbank’s finances.

The project manager of Exeter’s St Sidwell’s Point Leisure Centre has been crowned the Construction Manager of the Year in recognition of his work on the development.

Joe O’Connell, from Exmouth, who works for Kier Construction, was named the winner of the Public and Leisure category at this year’s Chartered Institute of Building’s prestigious CIOB Awards, where he was also selected as the coveted Construction Manager of the Year. Ahead of World Mental Health Day , NHS talking therapy service TALKWORKS has launched a series of ‘Wellbeing in the Workplace’ winter workshops , available free of charge for businesses and organisations across Devon (excluding Plymouth).

The workshops will give employees the chance to learn a range of tools and techniques to help improve their mental health and wellbeing.
