New data shows Amazon’s £150 million commitment to Devon

New figures released today show that Amazon has invested £150 million in Devon since 2010. The figures, taken from the latest Amazon Economic Impact Report, document Amazon’s investment in the South West and across the UK over the last 15 years.

More than 28 tonnes of carbon dioxide will be prevented from going into the atmosphere thanks to Devon County Council’s (DCC) eleven new electric vans.

It’s estimated that the vans, which were delivered last week, will each save 2.6 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year.

They are replacing diesel vans that had come to the end of their lives – they will now be sold at auction.
