Amicus Law promotes Head of Commercial Property to Equity Partner

South West legal firm Amicus Law has appointed James Armstrong as its third equity partner, marking a strategic step to strengthen the firm’s commercial offering.

With immediate effect, James, who is the Head of the Commercial Property team, takes an equity stake in the business, becoming the youngest equity partner in the firm’s 20-year history. Police appeal after spate of dog thefts

Police are appealing to the public for information following several reports of theft of dogs from North and South Molton.

The first incident happened at the kennels on The Square in North Molton on Friday 15 December between 9am and 5pm.

Three dogs were all pedigree cocker spaniels. The first dog was a small female seven-year-old black Devonshire Faith spaniel, the second dog was an 18-month-old black Hillside Harriet female with a white bib, and the third dog was a gold Badgeberry Troufseau Hope spaniel. A major expansion of broadband rollout across Devon and Somerset has received Government approval to provide thousands more homes and businesses in Devon with access to a superfast connection.

RGB Building Supplies is thanking the Exeter community for donating gifts to its 2017 Christmas Present Appeal. All presents have now been given to Children’s Hospice South West to pass on to the children and families it supports.

Following a call out inviting customers and the local community to donate gifts suitable for a child of any age or their parents, over 300 gifts were placed under Christmas trees in RGB branches.

North Devon Link Road resurfacing upgrade to start in the new year

A £5 million upgrade of the North Devon Link Road’s surface and drainage will get underway early in the new year.

Over 10km of the A361 will be resurfaced on both carriageways as part of the Devon County Council scheme, which is being funded by the Council’s successful bid for Challenge Funding. Eye-catching pavement stencils have been spray painted on Exeter city centre streets to promote the Quayside while the area undergoes flood defence work. The City Council has carried out the work using biodegradeable chalk-based paint which eventually washes off, to give the traders a boost.
