Exeter-based employment lawyer joins Westbank Community Health and Care’s Board of Trustees

The Devon-wide health and wellbeing charity, Westbank Community Health and Care, is delighted to welcome lawyer Henry Cross as its newest Trustee. Henry is a Senior Associate at Michelmores, specialising in employment law.

A father-of-two from Exeter, Henry already had a broad awareness of the charity when he met Westbank’s Head of Carers Services, Andy Hood, at a networking event a few years ago. Part of a collection of vintage glasses sold at a recent Chilcotts sale shows that the fascinating political situation faced today is nothing new.

The collection came via two independent collectors from East Devon; one put together during 1950s and the other through the ‘60s – with both kept intact for well over 50 years.

University of Exeter signs clean energy deal

Universities including Exeter have joined forces to sign a landmark green energy deal.

Under the ground-breaking “aggregated power purchase agreements” (PPA), 20 UK universities will buy £50m of renewable energy from a portfolio of wind farms.

RGB Building Supplies raised a fantastic £1,492.68 for Devon and Cornwall’s air ambulance trusts on Friday 13th September during a company-wide Great Cream Tea Day.

The event took place during National Air Ambulance Week, which aims to highlight the life-saving work done by all trusts across the country. In return for a donation, visitors to RGB’s Exeter branch were able to enjoy a delicious scone, cream and jam.
