Exeter City Council has today announced it will be submitting an expression of interest (EOI) for the prestigious UK City of Culture title. 

The City of Culture bid follows the culmination of five months extensive engagement and consultation with artists, creatives, cultural organisations and residents to shape the council’s commissioned new five-year Cultural Strategy for Exeter.

Three rising stars in civil engineering have received prestigious Young Achiever awards from the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) South West.

Peter Boden, who lives in Exeter , was named the south west’s most promising trainee civil engineer; Aiden Shipp, from Paignton , the most promising trainee quantity surveyor; and Sam Beer, from Exeter , the most promising apprentice. Farmers and landowners are being advised to protect themselves from unwanted public rights of way being created, as lockdown 2.0 has again seen an increasing number of walkers in the countryside.

Leading property consultancy Fisher German, which has an office in Exeter, is urging landowners in the South West to protect their interests as the boom in walking during another lockdown period has resulted in more people trespassing.

Exeter College’s new Future Skills Centre has opened its doors for the first time, following a collaboration between Devon County Council and the Ofsted Outstanding College.

PROPERTY investment firm Castleforge Partners today (November 13) announced the acquisition of Broadwalk House, a corporate office building in Southernhay Gardens, Exeter.
