UK and Ireland law firm, Browne Jacobson is backing a national effort to mobilise millions of volunteers while strengthening its employee volunteering offer, as a Founder Member of GoVo , the digital volunteering platform developed by Royal Voluntary Service.

Exeter based Old Mill launches Stamp Duty Land Tax team

Exeter financial experts Old Mill has created a specialist in-house team covering the complexities surrounding Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT).

Previously, this function was outsourced to a third-party, but Old Mill's Tax Team will now handle all queries.

Headed up by Senior Tax Manager Laura Wylie and supported by tax specialists Mark Trevethan and Zoe Chandler, the SDLT team will be able to advise clients on available reliefs and calculate SDLT liabilities.

Wealth manager Brewin Dolphin’s South West offices (Exeter, Plymouth and Truro) have been busy organising and taking part in various fundraising challenges for their chosen charity, Exeter-based Farms for City Children , and have raised £10,000 since January 2020.

Their latest endeavour was the Brewin Dolphin 7-Day Challenge, which saw members from the respective offices walk, run or cycle 655 miles collectively over seven days, raising over £1,000 for Farms for City Children.
