Celebration is the theme to Exeter's 10th LGBT Pride

AN explosion of colour, positivity and pride will take place in Exeter on Saturday, May 12 - and everyone is invited to come out and and celebrate.

Exeter Pride is one of the South West's biggest celebrations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) communities in the region.

A key annual event in the city's calendar, this year will mark Exeter Pride's 10th anniversary.

There will be a colourful rainbow flag parade from the St Sidwell Centre which will move down Exeter High Street to Northernhay Gardens.

The Devon Association of Tourist Attractions is pleased to announce that they have two NEW members joining the Association for 2018. Torre Abbey and Coldharbour Mill have both been awarded the acclaimed tourism quality stamp and now feature amongst Devon’s Top Attractions.

Saturday 27th January saw the performance of a new work, SHOAH, by composer Philip Arkwright, Master of Music at Buckfast Abbey at Exeter’s Mint Methodist Church as part of the commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau on that date in 1945.

Police expand infrared lighting on Speed detection vans

Devon and Cornwall Police have recently introduced Infrared ‘low Light’ camera technology within Plymouth and have now expanded their innovative equipment across the Force area.

The use of such use technology intends to reduce the amount of fatal and serious road traffic collisions on Devon and Cornwall roads.

East Devon joins forces with South West Ambulance to fund new on-site defibrillators

East Devon is delighted to announce that it has teamed up with the South West Ambulance Service and invested in four new on-site defibrillators that will be maintained by the council at its current headquarters at Knowle in Sidmouth, as well as at Exmouth Town Hall and Camperdown Terrace in Exmouth, and at Seaton Wetlands.
