Community involvement making the difference to recruiting nurses in Axminster

153 prospective employees have attended two recruitment days at Axminster and Seaton hospitals in February as work continues to re-open the inpatient beds at Axminster community hospital.

Passed peacefully away at Exeter Hospiscare on 20th February 2015. aged 66 years.

A much loved Husband to Anne. Father to Christopher. Grandfather to Kayne and Oscar and Brother of Julia and Alan.

Richard was born in 1948 and was an altar server at St Ives Parish Church and Sergeant at Mace for 20 years.

He was a proud supporter of Cornish Rugby and a member of Mousehole Male Voice Choir before moving to Starcross, Devon.

Children's centre to build iIgloo out of recycled milk containers

Receiving a delivery of milk bottles at a children’s centre might not seem unusual, but Whipton Children’s Centre has received 500 plastic milk containers and not a dash of milk!

However, they weren’t disappointed because they had asked recycling company SITA UK, which collects unwanted materials from households on behalf of East Devon District Council, to provide the empty containers so that they can build an igloo for the children.
