CCTV appeal following sexual assault

Police have released CCTV footage following a sexual assault that took place in Teignmouth.

On Sunday 21 June at around 4.35pm a young woman, wearing shorts and an orange knitted top, was walking along Regent Street in Teignmouth when she was approached by a man who engaged her in conversation.

He asked her for a hug and is alleged to have touched her inappropriately, before she was able to push him away leaving the scene unharmed.

The man is described as being white, in his late 20’s early 30’s and about 5 foot 9 inches tall, medium build with long wavy blond hair...

Suspect packages 'not explosives'

Police have released images of the suspicious packages found on York Road and King William Street in Exeter yesterday (June 29th).

Two suspicious packages were discovered in the morning and led to evacuations in the area as the Royal Navy’s bomb disposal experts assessed and made safe the devices. The packages turned out to be suitcases filled with electrical equipment and wires, and not explosive devices.

National sports charity ‘Tennis For Free’ has served up an ace for Exeter and the surrounding area by investing in a 50 week programme of free tennis lessons hoping hundreds of people across the area can make a racket at the city’s Heavitree Pleasure Ground courts.

Racing starts at 14:10 with gates opening at 12:10 and the last race will be at 17:30.
