Chiefs side to face Leicester Tigers

Exeter Chiefs back coach Ali Hepher says his side will have to be on top form if they are to emerge triumphant from today's Sunday’s Aviva Premiership trip to Leicester Tigers (3pm).

The second-placed Chiefs made it back-to-back victories in the league a week ago when they defeated local rivals Bath 26-17 at Sandy Park, but their credentials are sure to be tested to the max by the Tigers, who themselves remain firmly in the play-off picture having thumped London Irish last time out.

Over 1200 visitors were treated to an exclusive one night only spring shopping event in Princesshay, Exeter on Thursday 3rd March. Taxpayers urged to check new tax codes

During this month taxpayers across the UK will be receiving their new tax codes, to be effective as of 6 April 2016. ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is reminding taxpayers that it is their responsibility to make sure that the codes are correct, so they will be paying the right amount of tax. Exeter physicist takes research to Parliament

A University of Exeter researcher has been selected from thousands of competitors to present his research to MPs and expert judges at the House of Parliament, on Monday March 7.

Ryan Edginton, who is studying for a Phd in Physics, has been asked to present a poster on his research into the effects hydration has on the elastic proteins that form the connective tissue in the human body.

£120,000 of cannabis seized in Exeter

Police have seized a large amount of cannabis after reports of a strong smell were reported to Police on Thursday 4 March.

PCSO Will Malcolm and Sgt Harper attended the scene at 8.20pm and became aware of a very strong smell of cannabis coming from a property in Church Road, St Thomas, Exeter.

Eight large bin bags of cannabis and other drugs were successfully seized from the property amounting to at least 12kg with an estimated street value of £120,000.

A 25-year-old man and 26-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

Exeter schools bring wheelie bins to life

Devon’s largest event, Devon County Show, has teamed up with recycling specialists, Coastal Recycling to promote the value of recycling in the food and farming industry to primary schools around Exeter.

Proving that recycling is far from rubbish, over 200 pupils from Lady Seaward Primary School, Clyst St Mary Primary School, Ladysmith Federation Juniors and St Martins Primary School were set the challenge of designing a wheelie bin made out of recycled materials.
