The theme for Chagstock 2017 will be Spies & Dolls, in honour of organiser Si Ford's mother, ‘the original Miss MonyPenny’ who passed away late last year.
Si said: “This year, Chagstock will be dedicated to the memory of my dear mother who passed away just before Christmas. It was after all in her back garden that the very first private Chagstock took place back in 2003.
“Her maiden name was Monypenny (the derivation of which is a long interesting story of its’ own), and during the 2nd World War she joined the WRNS and worked at a satellite branch of Bletchley Park...

Children from Colyford have chosen the design for an eagerly anticipated play area in the village.
Despite the size of Colyford - 707 people are on the electoral roll - it doesn’t have a public play area, but it will soon.
East Devon District Council and Colyton Parish Council have been working closely together to spend £24,000 on creating the play area. A total of £22,300 of this money has been contributed by developers through Section 106 funding for play which is given for every new home created in the parish. This is collected by East Devon District Council, who choose...

The event, organised by the Devon General Omnibus Trust was originally planned to commemorate the closure of Exeter’s bus and coach station. However, this closure has been paused, as a result of a delay to the redevelopment plans. But the organisers had already gathered the buses and coaches together on this day and advertised the event to...
