The RSPCA is appealing for information after 31 young mice were found abandoned in a cage in Exeter on Thursday. (27 April.)
A passer-by found the dumped cage on the pavement on Buddle Lane at around 1pm, and quickly took the mice to a local vets.
RSPCA inspector Marije Zwager is keen to find out more about what happened to the little mice and who may have left them on the roadside.

PEOPLE across Devon are being invited to take on Cancer Research UK’s latest fundraising challenge, Walk All Over Cancer, to help beat cancer sooner.
The charity is calling on men and women to sign up now to walk 10,000 steps every day throughout the month of June and raise money through sponsorship.
Based on the average person’s strides, 10,000 steps equates to approximately five miles or eight kilometres per day, and adopting small lifestyle changes can go a long way in making the goal feel achievable.

The deadline for nominations for this year’s Community Transport Awards has been extended.
The awards ceremony is open to anyone working or volunteering in the community transport sector and Devon County Council has announced that nominations must now be submitted by Monday 8 May.
There are three categories of awards which honour the exceptional work of staff and volunteers in Devon’s Community Transport services:
