Zombies storm Princesshay for ghoulish stomp

Following a successful invasion last year , another horde of Zombies invaded Exeter today. Starting in Sidwell Street they rampaged through Princesshay and greeted a Samba band with ghoulish enthusiasm; they then moved on to Cathedral Green through the High Street and eventually gathered at The Phoenix Arts Centre on Gandy Street.

Exeter Scientists key to creating one of UK's greenest schools

Scientists at the University of Exeter have been heavily involved in developing a school which is in the national top ten for energy efficiency.

Experts at the University of Exeter’s Centre for Energy and the Environment have been studying the first year of operation of Montgomery Primary School in St Thomas, Exeter.

They say the school uses less than a third of the energy of a typical school, which puts it in the top 10 per cent of schools nationally for energy efficiency.

College graduates celebrate at Exeter Cathedral today

Around 160 Exeter College higher education students took to the streets today (26th October) as they donned their caps and gowns to process through the city for their Graduation Ceremony, held at Exeter Cathedral at 2.30pm.

Devon's position as the top recycling county in the UK is being celebrated this month to mark the 10 year anniversary of the Don't Let Devon go to waste campaign.

19 days to go until the Police and Crime Commissioner Elections

On 15 November, 37 police and crime commissioners will be elected in England along with four in Wales.

The PCCs, as they will be known, will be tasked with scrutinising their force and holding it to account. They will also set the budget, and hire and fire chief constables. The commissioners will be paid and are supposed to empower local people into having a say on how crime is tackled.
